24-Hour drug support at the HopeLine
Community Action Organization
Awareness, Resources & Support
Drug Crisis in Our Backyard is a community action organization dedicated to raising awareness, and providing education to families and individuals struggling with addiction. The organization was founded in 2012 by Susan and Steven Salomone, after they lost their son to the battle of addiction. You can read their story, and full background of the organization in the About Us section.
We believe that by coming together, by bringing the issue of addiction out into the open, we can provide the strength and support of a community to beat what is a terrible and life-threatening illness. We arrange a variety of events throughout the year, take a look at our events section to find out more.
In addition to resources for drug addiction information, we have a library of digital video content, including interviews, expert talks and press on drug legislation and information.
Are you, or someone you love, struggling with addiction? Please see our extensive list of resources for drug rehabilitation.
Drug Crisis in Our Backyard awarded prestigious Sid Gibson Imagine Award for its tireless work to promote awareness of the drug epidemic in our communities
